Trimpin was quite wary of being filmed --
largely because his previous experiences with film crews
had been awful.
Most seemed only interested in ridiculing the 'crazy artist'.
Hoping to portray Trimpin as a true mad scientist,
one local tv station embellished a night shot of his studio
with a full moon and a wolf howl.
Another crew lugged a fog machine
into the artist/inventor's studio, and directed him to
'act like he was working on something.'
